Legend of the Seas Day 1

Hello from Marina Bay Cruise Centre! It's my very first cruise trip with my family onboard Legend of the Seas, Royal Caribbean. On our way, we controlled our laughter in the cab because the uncle kept playing old school songs like 爱你一万年, kept very silent and kept adjusting the air-con. What a comical start!

We quickly checked in our luggage and started snapping pictures as early as 10am++. Wooooohoooooo! The feeling of looking at the big sea and ship just got us all so relaxed and excited!

We walked back to the waiting area and filled in the public health questionnaires that were handed to us by one of the ushers. Soon, we proceeded to check in with our passports and setsail passes. We were issued with our very own seapass cards as our important identity cards. Everyone sat around impatiently to wait for the boarding time at 11am++. My sharp eyes took the time to scan the area around me. Guess what?! I spotted a 1-for-1 T-shirt sale and I dragged my brother to grab a tee along with me. WHEEEEEEEE~~~~~ I felt slightly happier after our very first purchases even before we boarded the ship! :D

We walked a long stretch of path before we finally got onboard around 12 noon. We were hungry and slightly angsty with the waiting and queueing time.

We reached Romeo and Juliet Dining Room, Deck 4 first. Everyone had to go through a queue to take a photo with a panda.......... hmmm.... it's a "trap" actually. I'll explain that later. Read on!

We were directed to WindJammers Cafe, Deck 9 for our buffet lunch at 12pm++. It was so damn packed. Luckily we managed to get 4 seats with a very beautiful seaview. Teheehehe slight anger appeased! Food's free, so JUST EAT ok.

After lunch, we followed the cruise compass onboard to locate our seaview room with balcony at Room 7108, Deck 7. We were a little shocked because it wasn't as huge as we expected it to be. We recovered from our slight disappointment quickly and browsed the papers left by our stateroom attendant on our beds.

We decided to join a tour package and so we headed down to Shore Excursions Desk, Deck 5 to purchase our tour tickets to Penang (Day 2) and Malacca (Day 3). Tickets were priced in USD so we paid everything by credit card for all onboard purchases for convenience.

We walked around freely throughout the different decks to explore the ship and took pictures at almost every possible place. We're so so so in love with the paranomic view of waters!

We found 2 Romeo and Juliet Dining Rooms (Decks 4&5).... food's FREE OF CHARGE unless otherwise stated.

Champagne Bar (Deck 4).... you gotta pay for the drinks! Not everything onboard's free.

There's also Casino Royale (Deck 4), That's Entertainment Theatre (Deck 4), Boutiques of Centrum Shops Onboard (Deck 5), The Solarium - Indoor Pool and Indoor Jacuzzi (Deck 9), Table Tennis (Deck 9) SO MANY SO MANY SO MANY things to see and do onboard!

It's overwhelming - information overload just to mention these few. Toooooooo many things, tooooooo little time to see everything at once kind of feel.

At 3.30pm, an announcement onboard made it compulsory for everyone to head down to their respective muster stations, Deck 4 to listen to the importance and necessary preparations for emergencies e.g. demonstration on how to use a life jacket. Safety first everyone!!!!!!!!!

After that, everyone waved goodbye to Singapore at a sailaway party (Poolside, Outdoor Pools and Whirlpools, Deck 9) with popular pop songs and dances!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So dance, dance, like it's the last, last night of your life, life..... Yay the ship's gonna start movingggggggggg ~~~~~~ I like to move it move it I like to move it move it

The sunny Singapore weather triggered our attention back to WindJammers Cafe, Deck 9 where we made our own choco/vanilla ice cream cones! Shiok. We headed up to the Viking Crown Lounge, Deck 11 but there's no karaoke yet... just people sitting and chilling around.

Brother was thinking of exercising so we moved on to check out the Fitness Centre aka gym, Deck 9. No time to explore the many equipments.... it's already a big challenge moving around visiting every single area onboard!!!!!!!!!! FAINT!

I couldn't get enough of the lots and lots of artistic paintings and medals all around the ship too. I wanna explore every small thing! Oh my, so overwhelming.

At 6pm, we went to Romeo and Juliet Dining Room (Deck 4, Table 24, Traditional Time Dining) for our dinner. We met an old cute couple who sat at the same table as us and the six of us chatted like old friends! We had a lot of food - bread, corn soup, pie, fried noodles, fried fish rice, salmon rice, chocolate cherry cake, blueberry and peach cobbler, strawberry pavlova and.......... I was holding on to the savarin dessert by the way. *Wink*

After dinner, we headed to the library, Deck 7 to chill and breathe.

We returned to our room very soon to camwhore! I love my family!

We unpacked our clothes pretty neatly right? Proud of ourselves. Heh.

Hopefully we can get used to our room's squeezy feel real soon.

After settling down, we left together for supper at Pizza and Burger Bar, Deck 9. The best fries, hotdogs and pizzas onboard ever! Much tastier than our dinner for sure. We spotted the Legend Day Shipshape Spa, Deck 9 that's right beside the pizza area too. Spa's not free so we didn't opt for one.

We checked out the Internet Cafe, Deck 8 after our delicious supper. I think the charges go by per minute, so don't use wifi onboard! =D

We took the lift again to The Cupcake Cupboard, Deck 6 where we saw so many cute items! We ain't really interested in buying anything though. We were actually quite tired after a long day of exploration on the ship.

We continued walking and reached the Photo Gallery, Deck 6 too. We scanned for our photos amongst so many photos. When we FINALLY found ours, the feeling's like WOAHHHHHHHHH OMG must buy. Teheheehehehehe! Remember when we first reached the ship we took a photo with a panda? See, here's the "trap", they made us fell in love with the photos they took for us so we would BUY it!!!!! It's however some good money spent for such beautiful memories.

We finally finally finally returned to our room to rest. We need to get ourselves recharged for Day 2 Penang. Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
